elec­troen­cephalo­grams—sci­en­tists learn­ed to tell
apart one per­son’s brain pat­terns for com­mands such as “left,”
“right,” “ac­cel­er­ate” or “brake.” They then cre­at­ed an
in­ter­face to con­nect the sen­sors to their
oth­er­wise purely com­put­er-con­trolled ve­hi­cle.
