I am a selfish person.
It was a long long time before time. I was in a pub in Easton, Bristol and came up to the barl for more, from the garden side. There was a couple of bar flies, who didn't notice my presence. The woman said to the man, "I am pissed off with the future king's mum fucking a fucking paki." Innocent as I am I didn't understand what that was all about at that time and didn't give a thought about it until the bar man came up to me and the bar flies noticed me. See I am kind of paki looking guy with dreads coming up to me arse. Both looked guiltily surprised to see me. Nodded to them and got me drinks and got back.
Few weeks later Diana the next kings wife died in a car crash. It took me a fair few weeks to get what that bar conversation was about. Its incredible when you sit back and wonder what was that about.
Few months later I was in the same pub and I was in the main room as it was getting towards winter. There still were lots of Diana's photos behind the bar. The bar flies were there too. I just wondered what their thoughts were at that time. I wish I was a fly on the wall.

On Saturday, Pat Buchanan hosted a conference to discuss how Republicans can regain a majority in America. During one discussion, panelists suggested supporting English-only initiatives as a prime way of attracting "working class white Democrats." The discussion ridiculed Judge Sotomayor for the fact that she studied children’s classics to improve her grammar while attending college. The panelists also suggested that, without English as the official language, President Obama would force Americans to speak Spanish.
One salient feature of the event was the banner hanging over the English-only advocates. The word conference was spelled “Conferenece.” View it below:
