THere is this man called Mr Eddie in UK who is an alcoholic.He gets drunk and cause minor offences, like go to Sainsburies and piss on the magazine stand and try to nick a christmas tree. Then the police arrest him and then next day they take him to the good old magistrates. He gets fined a small amount, but as he has already spent a day in custody, and due to his medical condition as an alcoholic, he is set free. He has a record as to be arrested and locked up, in the local nick. And the coppers has named one of the cells "Eddie". Culture mate culture.

What It's Like to be Black In America

I hope this does not happen in good old blighty. I sometimes worry as the credit crunch bites deeper and all the political parties are in disarray, with bagful of tax payer's money in their pockets. The Fat Fucking Bastards. The EU election results will tell us more. I was homeless a few times myself.

Yellow Laces

On April 18, 1992, the ATF Birmingham Field Office received a call from the Birmingham Police Department. Just before 4 a.m. that morning, a Birmingham police officer on patrol had responded to an apparent fatal industrial accident.

At the scene, the officer saw that a railroad train had run over a man, whose left foot was severed. But the officer also observed a trail of blood leading from the man's bedroll beneath a bridge, where homeless people often slept, to his body some 20 feet away. The man's face was cut and he had a stab wound in his chest. The victim was black.

Meanwhile, about 20 minutes earlier, two officers patrolling the nearly empty streets had seen someone throw an object through the passenger side window of a blue Chevy Malibu not far from the railroad tracks. They stopped to retrieve what turned out to be a 12-inch hunting knife. It was dripping with blood.

The occupants of the vehicle included three young men who were members of Riccio's skinhead network.

Four months earlier, on Christmas Eve, another homeless man was beaten to death beneath the same bridge. Yet another was found unconscious on the road below. It appeared that he'd jumped from the overpass to escape the same fate.

The violence continued. On April 16, 1992, just two days before the victim with the severed foot was discovered, a group of homeless black men were sleeping beneath the bridge when several young white men drove up in a red truck. One of them stabbed a man in the back. He spent a week recovering in a hospital.

The spate of violence sharpened the focus of McEntire's investigation. It also prompted him to enlist the help of Dave Behrend, a six-foot-two, 245-pound ATF agent who assumed the role of bodyguard for the leader of the White Reich.

During McEntire and Behrend's first visit to Riccio's after the discovery of the severed-foot murder victim, the atmosphere was unusually subdued. They noticed two skinheads slip outside. They were Louis Oddo, a hulking thug, and Adam Galleon, a skinny kid who sported a white supremacist tattoo on his head. The two undercover agents watched them whisper together intently. Neither Oddo nor Galleon had been in the car when the four skinheads were arrested on April 18. The two agents glanced at one another. They were both thinking the same thing: the whispering skinheads were involved in the murders and attacks.

At a Birmingham-area rally several weeks later, Behrend overheard another skinhead exclaim, "You ain't shit until you earn your yellow shoelaces."

Some skinheads wear yellow laces in their combat boots to signal that they've killed someone. McEntire remembers thinking the skinheads were murdering homeless men "for a damned pair of yellow shoelaces."

Bethlehem – Ma’an – Despite the diplomatic immunity that Pope Benedict XVI enjoys throughout the world, Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport security officials insisted on inspecting all the pontiff’s luggage when he left the Holy Land last Friday, according to the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv.

According to Ma’ariv’s report, which appeared on Tuesday, the pope’s attendants were asked to put all the gifts he received during his weeklong visit through an X-ray machine. The aides were also questioned at the airport.

Ma’ariv said the pope’s entourage at first refused the search, causing an argument that threatened to snowball into a diplomatic crisis. But after long discussions and the intervention of high-level officials, the pope’s attendants agreed to have their luggage checked in the X-ray machine.

Security officers noticed the pope’s personal physician carrying a bag with a cooler, and after inspection they found it contained four containers of blood of the pope’s blood type kept in case of emergency.

"We are responsible for the safety of millions of passengers who use the airport every year, and we receive official directives on how to do our job," Israeli airport authorities commented on the incident.

Perfection Comes At A Cost The Boffins Say

I am poor dull and take it as it comes. One of the top optimists in and around me. If I go to the station and find the last train is already gone, I think it might me late and hang around the empty platform for hours. I thought I was a lost case in humanity. And I read this:

Perfectionists — that is, those who expressed "a strong motivation to be perfect" and revealed a tendency toward "all or nothing thinking" — were approximately 51 percent more likely to have died during the life of the study than those with more reasonable self-expectations. Those who were rated high on neuroticism — for instance, those who reported often feeling tense — did even worse: Their risk of death nearly doubled compared with those with a more relaxed disposition.

In contrast, "risk of death was significantly lower for high scorers in conscientiousness, extraversion and optimism," reports lead author Prem S. Fry, a research psychologist at British Columbia's Trinity Western University. She notes that previous research has found that "perfectionism exerts a great deal of stress on health," while optimism "is viewed as a stress-alleviating factor."

Gurkhas Of UK

I am a selfish person.

I heard this morning that the UK gov has overturned the decision about the Gurkhas to live in UK. I cried with tears running down my cheeks without feeling ashamed as a man. "Boys Don't Cry" a stupid person said and I don't believe in that. I cry for anything which moves me and I am happy that I am human with emotions. Does it mean I am not English with the famous 'stiff upper lip', I wonder. Who the hell cares?

During the training the Gurkhas were told that they have to jump out of a plane at 20,000 feet. They talked amongst themselves and a spokesman came up with an argument that, they will not mind jumping at 10,000 feet instead of 20,000; until he heard that they all going to jump with parachutes.

Just for example, on June 27, 1941, a colonel in the staff of the Germany's Northern Army Group in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas passed a petrol station surrounded by a crowd of people. There were shouts of bravo and clapping, mothers raised their children to give them a better view. The officer stepped closer and later wrote down what he had seen. "On the concrete courtyard there was blonde man aged around 25, of medium height, who was taking a rest and supporting himself on a wooden club which was as thick as an arm and went up to his chest. At his feet lay 15, 20 people who were dead or dying. Water poured from a hose and washed the blood into a drain."

Members Of Parliament

I am very interested in the tough time the MPs, the law makers of this fine country is having. Don't you?

I was in the shop taking money from the customers who were flocking in to get their groceries. Was happy for the shop but I was bored out of my wits. There was excitement in the air for some as the elections were due. M Thatcher time. I was not interested in politics at that time as I was not even old enough to vote. This big important looking man with a few others walked in to the shop and walked straight through without shopping. Ahhhh I thought bloody boozers with money in their pockets. The big man stopped and introduced him as Waldergrave and I thought who the fuck? He said he is standing for the parliament in our area. And asked me, "So, What do you think about the MPs and the parliament?"

I said, "Yeah I let the children play." And turned to the next in line.

He walked out puzzled and lost, but I did see a bit of a narky smile on one of the minders.

TV Seriously

I am a selfish person.

There I was watching this serious program about climate change and the bloody commercials came on. I wanted to take a leak anyway and I went to the loo. Poured myself a glass of wine and checked the phone for the texts, replied one and then the program started. Frigging heck, I cannot remember where we left off before the commercials.

Another time I was watching this Mcdonald TV (as My mate says) and there were no commercials and I wanted to go for a pee and I had to cross my bloody legs. Damn what the hell can I do?

I know a perfect solution. All serious programs should be shown in channels without the bloody commercials, everone goes to the loo before it starts etc etc and all Mc donald TV in the channels with commercials and you don't worry. Every ones happy. Will you?

Although somewhat underrated as a musical technique, a spot of whistling can often add a certain something to a song. Who can forget Otis Redding's poignant whistling on the soul classic "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay" or the haunting whistle refrain on the fall-of-the-Wall rock anthem "Wind of Change" by Germany's Scorpions?

The new­found burst, des­ig­nat­ed GRB 090423, was de­tected by the Swift sat­el­lite, an in­stru­ment of NASA and two col­la­bo­rat­ing or­gan­iz­a­tions. The 10-sec­ond burst was seen in the di­rec­tion of the con­stel­la­tion Le­o, or the Li­on.

Con­stel­la­tion Le­o is some stars as seen by the eye looks like a Lion. I have looked at it and it is very difficult to see a lion there unless someone draws it and still it is not complete, compared to Orion the soldier, with a belt and a baynet attached to it. Ha Ha. The stars are from about 36 light years to 5,722 light-years away, according to yahoo answers.

So now we have another object which is 15 billion years away. Wow!

The light waves from the burst are es­ti­mat­ed to have been stretched to 8.2 times their orig­i­nal length, a fac­tor that es­tab­lishes this as “most re­mote gamma-ray burst ev­er de­tected, and al­so the most dis­tant ob­ject ev­er dis­cov­ered—by some way.”

Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate) is approved for treatment of uncomplicated influenza A and B in children 1 year of age or older. It is also approved for prevention of influenza in people 13 years or older. It’s part of a group of anti-influenza drugs called neuraminidase inhibitors, which work by blocking a viral enzyme that helps the influenza virus to invade cells in your respiratory tract.

According to the Associated Press at least one financial analyst estimates up to $388 million worth of Tamiflu sales in the near future10 -- and that's without a pandemic outbreak.

More than half a dozen pharmaceutical companies, including Gilead Sciences Inc., Roche, GlaxoSmithKline and other companies with a stake in flu treatments and detection, have seen a rise in their shares in a matter of days, and will likely see revenue boosts if the swine flu outbreak continues to spread.
Swine flue is extremely convenient for governments that would have very soon have to dispose of billions of dollars of Tamiflu stock, which they bought to counter avian flu, or H5N1. The US government ordered 20 million doses, costing $2 billion, in October, 2005, and around that time the UK government ordered 14.6 million doses. Tamiflu’s manufacturer, Roche, has confirmed that the shelf life of its anti-viral is three years.

As soon as Homeland Security declared a health emergency, 25 percent -- about 12 million doses -- of Tamiflu and Relenza treatment courses were released from the nation's stockpile. However, beware that the declaration also allows unapproved tests and drugs to be administered to children. Czech newspapers are questioning whether the shocking discovery of vaccines contaminated with the deadly avian flu virus -- distributed to 18 countries by the American company Baxter -- were part of a conspiracy to provoke a pandemic.

Because of laboratory protocols that are routine for vaccine makers, mixing a live virus biological weapon with vaccine material by accident is virtually impossible.

Baxter flu vaccines contaminated with H5N1 (the human form of avian flu) were received by labs in the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovenia. Initially, Baxter refused to reveal how the vaccines were contaminated with H5N1, invoking “trade secrets.” After increased pressure, they then claimed that pure H5N1 batches were sent by accident.

But in the Czech Republic, reporters are investigating whether the contamination was part of a deliberate attempt to start a pandemic.

In an experiment designed to mimic events that could launch an influenza pandemic, a synthetic influenza virus made by combining an H5N1 avian flu virus with a human flu virus turned out to be no more contagious in an animal model than the natural H5N1 virus, US scientists are reporting this week.

Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) made two hybrid viruses and infected ferrets with them, according to a report to be published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The viruses failed to spread from infected ferrets to healthy ones in neighboring cages.

"We found that they [the viruses] were not able to transmit efficiently," said CDC researcher Dr. Jackie Katz, speaking at a Jul 28 teleconference. "In fact, they were also not as able to cause severe disease as the original H5N1 virus."

WASHINGTON, April 26 (Reuters) - The United States is not testing airplane travelers from Mexico for the swine flu virus that has heightened fears of a possible pandemic, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said on Sunday.

"Right now we don't think the facts warrant more active testing or screening of passengers coming in from Mexico," she said at a White House briefing.

Seven locations are initially established, financed in the main by a hut tax imposed on Africans. Shepstone introduces the system whereby the hereditary chiefs are responsible for the immediate running of the locations. The system comes under attack from white settlers who fear that self-sufficient locations would rob them of cheap black labour

I have been reading a lot about press freedom in various countries and various theaters of war. Now is this the first time in history where press freedom was taken out by the government any where in the world?

1800 Cape Colony: An official newspaper press is established. A Government Gazette is issued. The establishment of an official press forbids freedom of the press, with a heavy fine threatening anyone who attempts to publish. In July 1800 the Cape government orders the publication of a weekly newspaper called the Cape Town Gazette and African Advertiser.
